Sourdough discard Cinnamon Rolls-zero processed sugars!
I recently started sourdough, and it has been hard BUT worth it. This cinnamon roll recipe has no processed sugars, not even the frosting! It was a big hit with all my boys. Tag on Instagram @livingspunky if you decide to make these π«Άπ»
Sourdough Discard Cinnamon Rolls
Makes 12 cinnamon rolls
Dry:
4 cups all purpose flour
1 tsp baking soda
2 tsp baking powder
1 tsp salt
Mix together in a bowl.
Wet:
1 stick melted butter
1 cup water
1 cup sourdough discard
1/4 cup honey
Mix together, and slowly add to dry ingredients kitchen aid mixer with paddle.
Form a ball by kneading dough on floured surface.
Roll out to a rectangle at least 9x13.
Filling:
1/4 cup coconut sugar
Cinnamon
1 stick melted butter
Spread butter over dough, add coconut sugar, and cinnamon.
Roll, and cut 2 inch.
Should get 12 cinnamon rolls.
Add to a lined 9x13.
Place a baking sheet under to prevent burning.
Bake at 350 degrees, about 30 minutes.
Frosting:
1 softened stick of butter
1 block cream cheese, softened
Cap of vanilla
At least 3 TBSP maple syrup
Pinch of salt
