Monkey Bread with Churro MASA chips
Dough
3/4 cup warm water
2.5 tsp dry active yeast
1 TBSP raw honey
Mix together the yeast, water, and honey. Let set at least 5 minutes.
In another bowl mix the following
3.5 cups all purpose flour
1 tsp unrefined salt
1 large egg
1 tsp vanilla extract
3 TBSP melted unsalted butter
¾ cup warm milk
2 TBSP raw honey
Mix in a kitchen aid mixer with paddle. Start with flour, salt, and then add in wet-egg, butter, milk, honey.
Add in the yeast mix, until pulls from sides. If too sticky, add more flour.
On a floured surface, knead the dough into a ball.
Place back into bowl, and cover for an hour.
Break the dough into 30-40 pieces, and make into small balls.
Mix together the coating-
½ cup melted butter in one small bowl
½ cup maple sugar
2 TBSP Cinnamon
Add to small bowl
Dip each ball in butter, then maple mix.
Add all to choice of Bundt pan. I chose to make ours festive with a pumpkin pan! Linked on LTK Chelsie Overgaauw
Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit while dough rises for 15-20 minutes in pan. Cook for about 20 minutes!
Once cooked, I flipped mine onto a plate, and added crushed Churro MASA chips over top! Don’t forget to use LIVINGSPUNKYCHELSIE for your MASA chips!
Optional- Can add crushed Churro Masa Chips to dough before cooking too!
We drizzled maple syrup over ours, and it made a great breakfast!
