Fluffy Cinnamon Rolls
My boys use to never eat cinnamon rolls anytime I would make the premade cinnamon rolls, so I went on a mission to make an easy, fluffy recipe they would eat. This one is it, and it’s pretty easy! The heavy cream makes them super fluffy. Let me know if you try these out over on Instagram @livingspunky
Homemade Fluffy Cinnamon Rolls
Dough:
Wet-
Mix together in a small bowl.
1/2 cup warm whole milk
1.5 tsp dry active yeast
1 TBSP brown sugar
Let set about 5 minutes.
Dry-
In a kitchen aid mixer bowl-
2.5 cups all purpose flour
1 tsp salt
Mix with a paddle.
Add in
1 tsp vanilla extract
2 large eggs
4.5 TBSP melted butter
Yeast mix
Mix with paddle until dough begins to pull from sides.
Knead dough, make into ball, place back in bowl with plastic wrap for 30 minutes-1 hour.
Filling:
4-6 TBSP melted butter
1/2 cup brown sugar
Cinnamon to cover
Roll dough out to a 9X12 rectangle. Add butter, sugar, and cinnamon. Roll and cut about 2 inches thick. I usually end up with 8-10 depending on how I cut.
Place in lined 9x13 dish.
Cover with 1/2 cup heavy cream-makes extra fluffy!
Bake at 350 with sheet underneath to prevent burning about 30 minutes.
I usually bake the night before, heat, and add frosting.
Frosting:
2 TBSP room temp cream cheese
3 TBSP room temp butter
1-2 cups powdered sugar
1 TBSP vanilla extract
2 TBSP heavy cream
1/2 tsp salt
Mix- add when cinnamon rolls are baked, and cooled!
