My Top {10 Favorite} Products to Register for baby

Registering for a baby was so much harder than I thought when I had my son! There are SO many products that look EXACTLY the same, and how do you choose the right one?! I swear half the stuff that actually got used in my home was purchased after my son was here! I mean how can you know what baby you are going to get?? For example we got this expensive swing as a gift, I thought he would love, and my son hated it, I bought a 20 dollar bouncer chair and he was obsessed. I mean seriously!? I researched so much during my pregnancy and in the end I just had no clue till he was here what he really needed!

My recommendations are just what worked for me, but hopefully they work for you as well! I would keep receipts, and save some gift cards for after baby is here. PS if you think you have enough diapers, buy more! Also I am sure there are a ton of new products already out there in the last year, I already have my eye on a few new items to try with our second baby and its only been 8 months since my son was born! Crazy how fast new products pop up!

Another decision that was hard was picking where to register! I highly recommend Babylist! It was the one site that I could add absolutely anything, not just spots like Target, or Babies R US, but I could add anything from any small shop! It was so easy to use too! Just download the app and add/remove anything at the tip of your fingers! I changed my pregnant mind more than I can count!

My Top {10 Favorite} Products:

1.) Rock N PlayI bought a cheaper bassinet, which my son hated, and I also registered for one of these and it was the BEST invention of all time! I think I used this the most of anything-he would sleep in this anywhere in the house, it was handy to place in front of the shower or anywhere really, it is all around just my top recommendation for any baby!

2.) Dock A TotThis was a miracle worker too! My son used this till he was about 6 months (and way too big for it), but I swear it helped transitioning to his crib and literally could be placed anywhere!

3.) Bath Sponge-{Newborn}- giving a newborn a bath can be difficult, the slip so much! This 10 dollar invention was so handy for the tub, and I think keeps them warmer and happier during bath time!

* Bonus: Bath Seat– {4 months and up}- When my son could hold his head up and began getting too long for his tub, I bought this and we still use it!

4.) Gripe WaterThis was a staple in our house! My son was colic and this some days would be the only type of relief I could give him! Great for hiccups too!

5.) Como Tomo BottlesEvery baby is so different when it comes to bottles, but these are my sons favorite! Supposedly closest to the breast and helps with air!

6.) Nose SuckerThis is so handy for obvious reasons. Take the hospital one home too, that one is my absolute favorite and no one sells one the same!

7.) Baby Bjorn CarrierI love wearing a sweet baby! This changed my life! My son would always want to be held and this gave me the chance to do laundry, dishes, vacuum, go for long walks, you name it! He still loves it!

8.) Modern Burlap SwaddlesSo many people will get you swaddles and most are no where big enough! These were my favorite for size and the weight!

9.)Sound MachineThis helped my son get into a sleep routine so much!

10.) Play Mat Tummy time will start early on, and they will most likely hate it, but even though my son hated it, he would love just laying on his play mat and looking up at the toys! This is by far the cutest one!

Extra: Burp Rags! Green Sprout Muslin Burp Cloths

**Buy baby stain remover, for some reason I didn’t think of this, and dealt with more spit up and poop than I thought possible in the beginning! Dreft is great!

{Extras} 5 Fun Products:

1. ) Baby Book– I LOVE writing down everything each month! I didn’t think how fast I could forget little things that happen!

2.) Baby’s first year Calendar-This is something to write a fun little fact down for each day! Sometimes all I write was “crabby boy today” or “ate blueberries for the first time.” I find this stuff so fun!

3.) Milk Snob Covers-Life Saver! Great for breast feeding in public, sleeping in the car seat, placing on the high chair or grocery cart! Oh, and covering on an airplane!

4.) Zipper Pajamas-Those 2 am feedings will catch up with you! The zipper is your friend, especially those first few months when you are changing diapers with one eye open!

5.) Monthly stickers-So fun to take pictures of your little every month and see the changes!

Cue the tears 😭😭😍
